Two points of entry shall be provided
The front gate which is commonly used shall be provided with an SOS (Siren Operated Sensor). The gate shall be set back from the approach a minimum of 30' so that crews may pull off of the street while initiating gate opening. A code number is required so that the police department may make a silent entry.
The second point of entry, if gated, shall either be unlocked or when a locking mechanism is used it shall either be an SOS gate as above or have an approved emergency access sign.
When the second access point is the end of a dead end street over 150' in length the street shall end in a culdesac with a minimum radius of 50'.
